The Proposal

Huon Valley Seafood proposed to change the land use at 49 Wilmot Rd, Huonville to a Level 2 fish processing plant. The proposal involves the processing of up to 3,000 tonnes of fish per annum.

The proponent referred the proposal to the Board of the Environment Protection Authority (the Board) for assessment under the Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act 1994 (EMPCA).

The purpose of the EER is to provide a source of information upon which interested individuals, groups, government agencies and the Board may consider the environmental and planning impacts of the proposal.

A copy of the EER was made available for public inspection. The public comment period is now closed.
