Pollution Incident Response Seminar: Diesel spill case study

A diesel spill in Prince of Wales Bay in the Glenorchy Local Government area in 2015 required a joint response between the Glenorchy City Council, EPA (Division) and Tas Fire Service to manage the situation as a hazardous materials incident. Further reports of diesel were reported in the days that followed and the site was monitored daily and an investigation into the spill undertaken.

This seminar explored the issues involved in the spill. This seminar provided an overview of the spill, including how the EPA Division and Glenorchy City Council worked together to manage the incident. It also looked at the lessons learned.
