A case study of smoke-minimisation in a waste–removal burn, June 2014. This refers to a 'waste-removal burn', typically conducted on 'acreage' properties, and typically consisting of cut and stacked garden waste. The report documents the fuel preparation, seelcting an appropriate day for the burn, the burn procedure, and monitoring of the smoke from the burn. The report also shows a number of images of smoke plumes from small-scale (private) burns in the Channel area of southern Tasmania.
