Tasmanian Awards for Environmental Excellence

The 2009 Tasmanian Awards for Environmental Excellence are again highlighting the importance Tasmanian’s place on enhancing, preserving and protecting our environment.

The entries highlight ground-breaking projects adopted by industry, local government, schools, community groups and individuals. By sharing the innovative approaches, the entrants help educate others on the importance of being custodians for the environment.

Finalists across seven award categories will be announced at tomorrow's Minister’s Dinner to mark World Environment Day. Nominations in the award categories are:
