Book early for the 2010 Tasmanian Awards for Environmental Excellence

03 May 2010

Tickets are on sale for this year’s new-look celebration of the Tasmanian Awards for Environmental Excellence to be hosted by the Environment Protection Authority.

The event will be held on Friday 4 June at Wrest Point and staged in three parts: a pre-awards cocktail party, a theatre-style awards presentation with an address by guest speaker World Vision Australia CEO Rev Tim Costello, and a post-awards celebration.

It is anticipated the change in format will enable the awards presentation to be more inclusive with a less formal atmosphere enabling more networking opportunities.

EPA Chair John Ramsay has invited EPA stakeholders to attend the event to celebrate innovative approaches and outstanding contributions to enhancing, preserving and protecting the Tasmanian environment.

The awards evening will start with a cocktail party at 5.45pm in the Boardwalk Gallery in the Wrest Point Convention Centre.

The awards presentation and address by Rev Costello will be held in the Plenary Hall. Guests will be invited to return to the Boardwalk Gallery for the post-awards celebration.

Tickets to the awards event are $50 per person and are available from the Wrest Point Service Centre, ph 6225 0112.
