The Proposal
H & A Pty Ltd proposed to establish a Level 2 Extractive Industry and Level 2 Material Handling Activity at 'Fairfield', Mount Joy Road near Cressy in northern Tasmania.
H & A Pty Ltd proposed to extract up to 20,000 cubic metres of sand per year from a 23 hectare area defined by mining lease 1848P/M.
Sand will be extracted by front end loader and screened through a mobile plant.

The environmental assessment report has now been completed and can be viewed below. This report contains an environmental assessment and
recommendations to the Board of the Environment Protection Authority in relation to the proposal by H & A Logging Pty Ltd to establish a dry
sand extraction activity at Fairfield, Mount Joy Road near Cressy.
The permit conditions required by the Board to be included, if a permit is granted by Northern Midlands Council, are contained in
Appendix 1 of the Environmental Assessment Report.
