The Proposal

Roadways Pty Ltd (Ian Harrington Group) has proposed to increase production to 70,000 tonnes per annum at their pre-mix bitumen plant located at 1 Parkholme Drive, Bridgewater.

The proponent has lodged a Development Application with a supporting Environmental Effects Report (EER) to Brighton Council.

The application was referred to the Board of the Environment Protection Authority (the Board) for assessment under the Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act 1994 (EMPCA).


Public Exhibition of Documentation

A copy of the permit application and all plans and other documentation submitted with the permit application (including the EER) are available for public inspection and may be examined during normal business hours at:

Public Representations

In accordance with s.57(5) of the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993 (LUPAA), any person may make a representation relating to the permit application (including the EER) from Wednesday 21 October 2020 to Thursday 5 November 2020 in writing to:

Environmental Effects Report

The purpose of the EER is to provide a source of information upon which interested individuals, groups, government agencies and the Board may consider the environmental impacts of the proposal.

The EER was prepared by the proponent on the basis of the project specific guidelines for preparation of an EER which were provided by the Board.
