Assessment

​​​​​​​​​The EPA Board is responsible for assessing the potential environmental impacts of certain activities under the Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act 1994. The environmental impact assessment process focuses on minimising environmental harm, nuisance and pollution relating to noise, air quality, water quality and natural values. EPA staff support the EPA Board to make informed decisions during the assessment process.​
