The Proposal
The proposal is for a resource recovery works (composting facility) with a maximum production capacity of 10,000 tonnes per annum, located on a rural property at Melton Mowbray. Fish waste may be a substantial input into the composting process.
Development Application
This proposal was referred directly by Southern Midlands Council to the Board of the EPA on 26 October 2020 as a development application and therefore a Notice Of Intent (NOI) was not required.
Environmental Effects Report Guidelines / Environmental Impact Statement Guidelines
EIS Guidelines have been prepared by the Board to assist the proponent to prepare a case for assessment. Based on the information contained in the Notice of Intent, the guidelines identify the key issues which are expected to be relevant to the assessment of the proposal.
