The Proposal
E A & M A Downward are proposing to expand their existing operations at the Dysart Quarry, located off the Midlands Highway, approximately 10 kilometres northwest of Dysart. The proposal involves a small expansion to the area of operation. No changes to the existing production limits of 10,000 cubic metres per year, including the crushing and screening of material, are proposed.
Development Application
This proposal was referred directly by Southern Midlands Council to the Board of the EPA on 21 November 2025 as a development application (DA number 2500144) and therefore a Notice Of Intent (NOI) was not required.
Environmental Effects Report Guidelines
EER Guidelines have been prepared by the Board to assist the proponent to prepare a case for assessment. Based on the information contained in the Notice of Intent, the guidelines identify the key issues which are expected to be relevant to the assessment of the proposal.
