The proposal involves a production increase from a previously permitted limit of 93,750 cubic metres of dolerite rock (noting that the quarry is currently in care and maintenance) to 143,750 cubic metres of gravel per year, and includes the crushing and screening of extracted material. The activity will incorporate the recycling of up to 28,000 cubic metres. All extractive activity is to take place within the existing permitted footprint.
