The Proposal
Recycal Pty Ltd are proposing to upgrade their existing facility at 256 George Town Road, Rocherlea by constructing a new recycling and waste storage building.
The existing facility can currently receive up to 60,000 tonnes of waste per year and store 30,000 tonnes of material at any one time.
Development Application
This proposal was referred directly by City of Launceston to the Board of the EPA on 11 October 2023 as a development application (DA number 0436/2023) and therefore a Notice Of Intent (NOI) was not required.
Environmental Impact Statement Guidelines
EIS Guidelines have been prepared by the Board to assist the proponent to prepare a case for assessment. Based on the information contained in the Notice of Intent, the guidelines identify the key issues which are expected to be relevant to the assessment of the proposal.
