The Proposal
The Ti Tree Bend Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) is proposed to be transformed as part of the broader Launceston Sewer Transformation Project being undertaken by TasWater.
The sewerage treatment capacity and performance of the Ti Tree Bend STP will be upgraded, allowing wastewater from seven other existing STPs across Launceston to be consolidated and treated within the one upgraded STP facility. The proposal also considers population growth through to 2050 in the upgraded STPs designed capacity.

Envionmental Impact Statement Guidelines
EIS Guidelines have been prepared by the Board to assist the proponent to prepare a case for assessment. Based on the information contained in the Notice of Intent, the guidelines identify the key issues which are expected to be relevant to the assessment of the proposal.
