• ​​The EPA Guide to Land Spreading of Milk and Milk By-products (Tasmania) is a reference for stakeholders, including milk processing premises, waste transporters and receiving properties, ​​EPA and Local Government regulatory officers.
  
  The Guide does not provide approval to apply waste to land. Rather, its purpose is to provide easy​-to-follow information to assess and manage the risks of land spreading, and improve compliance with legal requirements for managing milk-related wastes.

• The EPA Guide to Land Spreading of Food Industry Waste is a key reference for food processing premises (Level 1 and 2 activities), waste transporters and receiving properties, and Local Government and EPA regulatory officers. It sets out the regulatory requirements for waste classification and approval, and provides a checklist for risk minimisation and compliance for the management of organic waste material.

• Paunch Contents Land​ Spreading Management Guidelines
  These Guidelines have been prepared for Tasmanian abattoirs, controlled waste transporters, landowners and environmental regulators concerned with the re-use through land application of partially digested material from ruminant stomachs known as paunch contents. Paunch contents can be a valuable soil conditioner when managed and applied appropriately. However, it can also give rise to environmental and human or animal health risks which need to be addressed before land spreading occurs.

• The Environmental Law Handbook
  The Environmental Defenders Office produced an easy to read, practical guide to Tasmania's environmental protection and planning laws for citizens, local councils, conservation groups, landowners, business operators and regulatory authorities. Chapter 10 in particular, discusses rural lands, soil and water management. Chapter 9 discusses fisheries and marine protection.
