This measure became necessary due to the detection of a Tasmanian Rickettsia-like organism (TRLO). These events were supported by relevant Veterinary Authorisations and were subject to comprehensive monitoring requirements stipulated by the EPA. Sampling of wild fish, shellfish and sediment occurred on five occasions between 14 May and 3 August 2020.
