Monitoring Programs

​​​​​​​​​Water quality monitoring is undertaken by the water section under a range of programs. 

  • South East Monitoring Program
    The EPA has conducted water quality monitoring in the South East of Tasmania (Storm Bay, the lower Derwent Estuary and the D'Entrecasteaux Channel) since January 2018.
  • Okehampton Bay Monitoring Program
    The EPA has conducted water quality monitoring in Okehampton Bay and the Mercury Passage since August 2017.
  • Norfolk Bay Monitoring Program
    The EPA conducted water quality monitoring in Norfolk Bay and Frederick Henry Bay from August 2018 to January 2019.
  • Port Arthur Monitoring Progam
    The EPA has conducted water quality monitoring in the Port Arthur area since December 2019. The monitoring aims to increase the understanding of water quality within the Port Arthur area.
