Changes to Ozone Protection Regulation

From 1 July 2005, the Australian Government Department of the Environment and Energy is issuing licences for people who buy, sell, store or handle ozone depleting or synthetic greenhouse gas. It is now necessary for applications to be submitted to them rather than as previously done to Tasmanian Government.

Application forms are available from refrigerant wholesalers or can be downloaded from the Australian Refrigeration Council website.

For more information about ozone protection check the Department of the Environment and Energy website for Ozone Depleting Substances and Synthetic Greenhouse Gases or call the Australian Refrigeration Council Hotline: 1300 884 483.
