Nominations are open for the EPA Sustainability Award 2020

The Environment Protection Authority (EPA) is calling for nominations for this year's EPA Sustainability Award until entries close on Wednesday 22nd July 2020.

EPA Director, Mr Wes Ford said that the Sustainability Award is designed to recognize the practical efforts being made in the Tasmanian community towards environmental sustainability.

“The Award is open to Tasmanian businesses, groups and organisations that have developed and implemented clean production initiatives and sustainable practices," said Mr Ford.

“We are interested in showcasing projects and initiatives in energy efficiency, water conservation, resource efficiency, waste minimisation, re-use and recycling," he said.

“We would be delighted to receive nominations from Tasmanian businesses that are helping to protect the Tasmanian environment," said Mr Ford.

The EPA Sustainability Award is one of several categories of the Tasmanian Community Achievement Awards (CAA). The Awards, which are run by Awards Australia are designed to recognise individuals, organisations and groups that are making a difference in their local communities and across the State.
