What's New

From time to time the EPA releases documents for public comment or invites public submissions on various topics of concern to Tasmanians.

Report Rubbish to keep Tasmania beautiful

A new online web application called Report Rubbish makes it easy to report litter and dumping via smartphone, tablet or computer.

Simply go to rubbish.epa.tas.gov.au and fill out the details requested - Report Rubbish will ask about the location, quantity and type of rubbish. Add photos if they are available.

The report will be automatically forwarded to the relevant authority (such as a local council or State Government organisation) alerting them that the rubbish is there.

New teaching resource about litter

A resource for primary school teachers about litter has been released. This is part of a series of resources designed to support teachers to develop students awareness about sustainability and waste, while meeting areas of the Australian Curriculum, including Science, Maths, English and the cross curriculum priority of Sustainability.
