EPA takes water samples as part of eel death investigation

The EPA is investigating reports of eel deaths in Edith Creek near Smithton in the state’s north-west.

The deaths of approximately 25 eels were reported to the EPA on Friday last week.

EPA officers have collected water samples from Edith Creek. The samples have been taken to the labs for further analysis as investigations continue.
