The Tasmanian community is invited to have their say on the draft PFAS National Environmental Management Plan 3.0 (PFAS NEMP 3.0).
The PFAS National Environmental Management Plan (NEMP) provides nationally agreed guidance and standards on the investigation, assessment and management of PFAS wastes and contamination in the environment, including prevention of the spread of contamination.
All states, territories and the Australian Government, as well as the New Zealand Government, have collaborated to develop revisions and additions to the NEMP.
The draft PFAS NEMP 3.0 builds on PFAS NEMP 2.0 which was published in 2020.
PFAS NEMP 3.0 includes new and additional guidance and standards on priority areas. A copy of the draft plan together with details on how to make a submission are available at National Environmental Management Plan on PFAS.
Submissions close at 4pm AEDT 20 December 2022. Your input will contribute to the final version of the PFAS NEMP version 3.0.
