Waste Education

EPA Tasmania supports waste education in schools and can provide advice and guidance for teachers on waste issues and on establishing recycling on school campuses.

Primary school teaching resources are now available on general waste issues for early childhood, and on litter, paper waste, plastic waste and food waste for older grade levels.

They are aligned with various subject areas of the Australian Curriculum, including Science, Maths and English and the cross curricular priority of Sustainability.

The Environment Protection Authority acknowledges the Tasmanian Aboriginal people as the traditional custodians of lutruwita (Tasmania) and pays respect to their Elders, past and present.
