School visits are conducted by EPA Tasmania on the topics of waste and litter. Sessions are free, interactive and have a strong ‘hands-on’ component to complement the academic content. Our staff can cater for the K-10 age group, and with prior consultation, sessions can be developed to be incorporated into existing learning areas. Examples of sessions include hand-made papermaking, litter-critters, creating eco-fashion and exploring e-waste.
All sessions have been developed to be able to meet the requirements of various subjects in the Australian Curriculum and the cross-curriculum priority of Sustainability.
Teaching resources for early childhood have been developed for plastic waste, paper waste and litter.
