Environmental Regulation Portal
The Environmental Regulation Portal provides environmental regulation information for co-regulators under Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act 1994 (EMPCA). Access is restricted to Environmental Health Officers, participating EPA staff and relevant Department of Health, Environmental Health Australia, and Local Government Association of Tasmania staff.
Through providing professional development information and decision support tools on the Portal, the goal is to support EPA engagement with Local Government, build capability in environmental regulation, support improved decision-making and facilitate improvements in environmental outcomes.
The Portal supports these outcomes by providing a training calendar, recorded professional development sessions (for convenient access), case studies, communication tools, and updates.

Upcoming Training Events
Through working with Environmental Health Australia (EHA) Tasmania, EPA provides environmental regulation seminars at EHA Tas Seminar days, three times a year and once a year at the EHA Tas State Conference. The goal is to improve skills and knowledge of Council staff who regulate Level 1 environmental activities under EMPCA.
