​​The Proposal

The development application is seeking approval for the addition of materials handling (crushing and screening) of up to 5,000 cubic metres/year to an existing quarry currently authorised to extract up to 6,000 cubic metres gravel or rock. The application also seeks to increase the land area of the quarry to include whole area under Certificate of Title 170402/1.​

Development Application

This proposal was referred directly by Circular Head Council to the Board of the EPA on 11 May 2022 as a development application (DA number 2022/00060​) and therefore a Notice Of Intent (NOI) was not required. 


Environmental Effects Report Guidelines 

EER Guidelines have been prepared by the Board to assist the proponent to prepare a case for assessment. Based on the information contained in the Notice of Intent, the guidelines identify the key issues which are expected to be relevant to the assessment of the proposal.
